MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training: Graduation from a regionally accredited or American Bar Association accredited law school.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Under the supervision of the director or the deputy director, this person acts as a staff attorney for the medicaid fraud control unit (MFCU) within the office of inspector general. The attorney will actively assist in the investigation and prosecution of complex medicaid provider fraud as well as crimes involving physical abuse, neglect, or! financial exploitation of incapacitated adults in medicaid facilities.! Other responsibilities include state and federal legal research and writing, drafting legislation, interpreting legal opinions, case law, statutes and regulations and advising on points of law affecting investigations and prosecutions of relevant healthcare crimes and medicaid recoveries. The position will perform other duties as assigned. The position will be located in the MFCU Charleston office.
