Cleaning Supervisor [United Kingdom]

 

The role

We are looking for a passionate and highly organised person to join our team and help us to provide the best possible Cleaning Service for the University of Bristol buildings. The role is critical in ensuring the required cleaning standards are adhered to. Therefore, knowledge and experience in supervising a cleaning service are essential, as well as the need for flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of the business.

What will you be doing?

The successful candidate will be providing direct supervision and organisation of a team of cleaners. Arranging cover for absences, facilitating the exigencies of the service and maintaining acceptable standards of cleanliness. Ensuring that all staff in the team are properly instructed and trained in the use of equipment and techniques required to provide a clean and safe environment. Completing regular quality control checks as directed by the line managers and implementing remedial action where necessary.

You should apply if

• You have previous cleaning experience
• You have experience in supervising a cleaning service
• You must demonstrate confidence in leading a team
• You have to be confident using computers and IT systems and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
• You have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to deal with and prioritise a range of ongoing tasks at the same time and to be able to cope under pressure.
• You have an understanding of the operation of cleaning machinery
• You have excellent communication skills
• You are a self-motivated and proactive person
• You have the ability to work as part of a team
• You are a self-motivated and proactive team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines
