Description: AmeriCorps is presently looking of CHHA- Affordable Housing Specialist - Education Coordinator right now, this job will be dwelled in West Virginia. Member Duties : The Education Coordinator (EC) will create an affordable housing training curriculum consisti! ng of subjects like: creating affordable communities, fair housing/ ethics, selling/buying affordable homes, board governance, down-payment programs, mortgage loan process, organizational structure, SAFE act, homeownership for people with disabilities, working with nonprofits, community housing dev. organizations, and housing counseling, among others.
The EC will then begin compiling a pool of qualified instructors that teach the identified subjects in the curriculum. The EC will assist them in acquiring the necessary continued approvals to be an instructor. The target audience of these AHS events will be real estate agents, accountants, bankers/lenders, developers, builders, appraisers, affordable housing organizations, and attorneys, among others. Lastly, the EC would market and coordinate all aspects of monthly training events for the duration of their time with the Trust Fund.
