Description: State of West Virginia is looking of Administrative Law Judge 1 - Kanawha Co. right now, this occupation will be reside in West Virginia. Under limited supervision, an attorney in this position will schedule and conduct hearings and render written decisions including findings of fact and ! conclusions of law for persons appealing adverse decisions made by the office of health facility licensure and certification related to the certified nurse aide registry and by the bureau for children and families related to findings of abuse or neglect of children or incapacitated adults and to the status of providers within various residential and child care programs administered by the bureau. The duties of this position include acting as legal counsel to non-attorney hearings examiners in the board of review. Ability to travel and conduct hearings is an essential duty of this position. Overnight travel may be required as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training: Admission to the West Virginia State Bar.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as an attorney including trial experience or as an examiner or administrative law judge with an administrative body, or a judge of a court of record.
