As a part of Business Advisory Services (BAS), a Strategic Wealth Services segment of Wells Fargo Wealth Management, the candidate will be responsible for the management of a simple-to-somewhat moderately complex portfolio of Closely Held Business Interests, including stock and other ownership interests, held in fiduciary (irrevocable and revocable trusts) and investment management accounts. Will also be responsible for working with more senior asset managers in carrying out their duties related to the management of more complex assets and accounts.
Performs ongoing asset review reporting activities, including financial and operating performance analysis, in order to assess and manage risk, support account acceptance and holding recommendations, and to ensure compliance with banking regulations, fiduciary standards and Wells Fargo s investment policy.
Will work with, and seek to develop skills in, the application of financial, opera! ting and other relevant business information in appropriate va! luation methodologies and models to derive and support pricing estimates.
Candidate should possess the ability to establish solid business relationships with internal partners, business stakeholders and centers of influence in order to provide an unparalleled level of client service in resolving asset related issues, assisting in new business development and raising market awareness of BAS services
Basic Qualifications
1+ years relationship management experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Entry level to 1-2+ years experience in closely held asset management or relevant position from which candidate can demonstrate the following:
General understanding of operating business fundamentals. Experience in understanding and analyzing entity financial statements and tax returns, business operating information, legal documents, corporate actions, and the ability to communicate (both orally and in writing) the recommendations, decisi! ons and concepts derived from such analysis to business executives, attorneys, CPA s and Wells Fargo s clients and internal professionals. Must work well in a busy, non-routine environment and work effectively both alone, or as part of a team. Good communication skills, initiative to take on ad-hoc projects, the ability to prioritize and multitask. Proficiency in MS Excel.
Preferred Skills
A minimum of a Bachelor s Degree in Business or related discipline strongly preferred, with concentrated coursework in Finance and/or Accounting.
Some additional education or experience in business valuation, business taxation, estate planning, business succession planning, trust law and/or administration would be beneficial.
Experience dealing with business owners and/or managers, preferably in the areas of profitability improvement, problem resolution or ownership transition would also be a plus.
