The primary responsibilities of the Specialist - Savings & Pension Plans are to provide the expertise needed for daily administration of the plans and for interaction with the plans' trustees, record-keepers, attorneys, and auditors, as well as the expertise needed for the day to day assistance required by VF Corporation managers, supervisors, employees, former employees, retirees, and beneficiaries. This employee will assist with establishing the departmental procedures needed for d! ay to day administration of the savings plans and pension plan! s, and with the development and maintenance of computer systems/system programs needed in the data maintenance and administration of the plans.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
< 3 years of related professional experience

High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related degree preferred

Experience in the administration of defined contribution and/or defined benefit plans, or with other types of retirement plans

Skills:
Work knowledge of defined contribution and defined benefit plans, preferably in both the qualified and non-qualified sectors

Knowledge of ERISA and IRS rules and regulations pertaining to the administration of defined benefit and defined contribution plans

Proficient with spreadsheet applications (Excel) and word processing (Word) applications; prefer intermediate to advanced Excel skills (vlookup, etc.)

Proficient with BRIO or other report writing tool preferred

Proficient in development and delivery of presentations (PowerPoint) to large groups

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and work on a number of ongoing projects at the same time

Strong analytical ability and attention to detail

Strong mathematical skills

Special Requirements:
Ability to handle confidential information such as employees' salaries and grades

1. Process weekly funding runs in order to transmit payroll and indicative data for VF's defined contribution plans, including both the VF Corporation Retirement Savings Plans (salaried and hourly 401k) and the non-qualified Executive Deferred Savings Plans (from bonus and from salary). Process quarterly funding runs in order to transmit data and fund for the Retirement Contribution feature of VF's defined contribution pl! ans. Activities include data transmission, on line error resolution, ac! count balancing, account funding, and preparation of necessary G/L documentation (deposit slips, wire transfer requests, etc.). Perform audit of weekly inbound data from the plans record-keeper against VF's HR/payroll system in order to ensure that Participant deferral elections are received and implemented. (salaried and hourly 401k; Executive Deferred Savings Plans) and that loans are recorded for payroll deduction. Ensure accuracy of Retirement Contributions via a quarterly audit of the cont

2. Handle inquiries from/perform problem resolution for active, retired, and terminated participants in all defined contribution plans. Act as liaison between the VF Services Human Resources Information Systems/Benefits Administration staff, Participants, Coalition HR, and the plans' record keeper. Serve as resource for the VF Services Customer Service Call Center. Assist Manager, Retirement Plans with activities related to annual audit of savings plans, both qualified and n! on-qualified

3. Review issues relative to the indicative data and payroll interfaces to the savings plan record-keeper, as well as to the interfaces between the VF HRIS/Payroll system and Pen21 (pension database and calculation software). Take action as required, including but not limited to mitigation with regard to actual savings plans administration and or pension plan processing, creation of service tickets/PPMS requests and working with GBT support team to resolve data issues, etc. These activities support proper identification of employee eligibility for the various retirement plans, selection of appropriate systems indicator, requests for vested terminated defined benefit plan calculations, on line corrections with regard to record-keeper's on-line database, etc

4. Perform duties relative to the administration of the VF Corporation Pension Plan and the Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan, including but not limited to calculation of benefits and/o! r audit of benefit calculations, creation of Payment Authorizations, ad! ministration of FICA tax for the SERP, etc. Handle inquiries from active, retired, and terminated participants in all defined benefit plans and hybrid retirement plans
