The Barback provides support to all Tap Room staff, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

What You’ll Brew:

  • Provide relief to bar staff by bussing tables and removing trash from all areas of the Tap Room
  • Remove dirty glassware from the bar and see to it that all glasses are properly cycled through dishwasher to ensure a constant supply of clean glassware
  • Change kegs and replenish inventory as need be throughout the Tap Room
  • Provide routine inspection of the bathrooms to make sure they remain clean and well-stocked before, during, and after shifts
  • Ensure the Tap Room floor remains a safe, clean and pleasurable environment for the duration of operating hours
  • Coordinate with Bar and Security staff to identify potential risks on the Tap Room floor including safety issues, visibly intoxicated guest and/or any violations of our Conditional Use Permit
  • Serve as an able representative by exuding enthusiasm and helpfulness at all times when interacting with guests
  • Develop an understanding of the history and mission of Samuel Adams, the Tap Room, as well as the brewing process itself, while giving public tours of the brewery as need be and leading guided beer tastings

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School/GED
  • Previous barback or bartending experience preferred

Level:10

In accordance with California's pay transparency laws, the pay rate for this role is $16.80 per hour. In addition to hourly rate, this position is eligible for tips received during the worked shift.
