Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Business Development Content Mgt. Specialist. This position will be located in our Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV.
Responsibilities:
- Proofing and editing lawyer biographies for grammatical errors and adherence to Orrick styles
- Review of bios for formatting errors; when able, fixing those errors with basic HTML coding
- Assigning new hire lawyer biography drafts to! BD team or connecting with new hire associates to assist them! in drafting bios
- Drafting new hire biographies when necessary
- Making biography edits when necessary
- Updating bio administrative tools when necessary (administering tools related to the biographies), including adding schools, degrees, court admissions
- Responding to bio related requests apart from drafting content
- Working closely with Web Engineering on technical issues
- Working closely with HR on title related issues
- Making content edits when needed to orrick.com
- Assisting BD with the location of information for proposal related requests
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience required. Degree or coursework in English, Journalism, Marketing, or some other communications-related discipline is strongly favored.
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience in marketing, business development and communications req! uired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
- Excellent written, editing and communication skills, including agility in writing for marketing and public relations, progress reports, briefs, collateral materials and electronic content.
- Exceptionally strong customer service, interpersonal, audience-analysis, consulting and training skills, and adeptness at working with clients and colleagues with varying backgrounds and proficiencies at all levels of the organization.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at once
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as exceptional attentiveness to detail required.
