Assistant Public Defender Position Huntington, WV The Public Defender Corporation for the 6th and 24th Judicial Circuits of West Virginia announces an open Assistant Public Defender p! osition starting August 1, 2013. Assistant Public Defenders represent indigent clients at the trial court stage in the following proceedings: criminal, extradition, probation and parole, juvenile, and abuse and neglect. Salary starts at 42,000 for an attorney licensed in West Virginia and is based upon experience and available funding. A full benefit package is included .
