in the Morgantown,WV market to grow their business.
The Position:
The
Commercial Lender
is responsible to develop new business, along with maintaining close relationships with their book of business. Specifically the position responsibilities include:
- Calling on companies with total loan relationships of up to $5 million
- Cold calling and prospecting with non-bank clients to attract new commercial relationships to the bank
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with numerous sources of new business, including company officials, attorneys, accountants and social acquaintances
- Producing new loan production, deposits and fee generation
- Contributes decision-making information to credit committee by analyzing loan requests, notes, terms, security, etc.; presenting administrative issues for app! roval
- Managing a C & I loan portfolio
- Primar! y duty includes making sales or obtaining orders or contracts for services or for the use of facilities for which a consideration will be paid by the client or customer
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and abilities:
- 5+ years of experience building profitable relationships with small to mid-size businesses, ideally with a strong network of COI in the Morgantown, WV market
- Must be comfortable developing C&I loans.
- Must be hard-working, goal-oriented, highly productive, and passionate about business development
- Ability to successfully manage a portfolio
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of business acumen
- Must have underwriting experience
- Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines
- Formal credit training a plus
