Performs full performance level legal work in the agency or division assigned. Responsible for legal correctness and factual accuracy of final orders s! ubmitted by hearing examiners as well as other orders and correspondence issued by the Legal Division. Regular contact with hearing examiners and considerable contact with attorneys and parties to cases before the agency is required. Duties also include assisting staff attorneys with research and preparing legal documents including drafting of proposed legislative rules both procedural and interpretative in accordance with WV Code. This position requires superior legal knowledge and experience that can be applied to the administrative hearing process. Performs related work as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training: Admission to the ! West Virginia State Bar.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in the practice of law. Related legal experience and knowledge of the hearing examination process very helpful.
Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment as an attorney with the agency to which assigned shall be considered the equivalent of two years of experience.
