This attorney position is in the regulatory and compliance area; Employee handles first and third party bad claims; should have a good knowledge of the unfair trade practices act, including applicable case law; knowledge of legislative rules relating to insurance; and knowledge and experience relating to general insurance matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training: Admission to the West Virginia State Bar.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in the practice of law. The successful candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of the unfair trade practices act, including applicable case law; knowledge of legislative rules relating to insurance; and knowledge and experience relating to general insurance matters. Some knowledge of workers comp is helpful. If you do not have this specific expertise you will likely not be considered.
Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment as an attorney with the agency to which assigned shall be considered the equivalent of two years of experience.
