Charter Impact works to empower charter schools and educational non-profits with the most accurate and efficient financial management and operational support. This Accounts Payable role delivers front line support to Charter Impact clients and interacts with them via email and phone frequently, so an upbeat personality and customer-service experience is a must! Our work is fast-paced and client-centric so adaptability is key. This position offers workplace flexibility – candidates can work remotely from home with minimal in-office time required for initial new hire training and occasional departmental meetings and teambuilding events.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices on a timely basis and process weekly check runs
- Verify availability of cash, perform payment selections, and determine correct general ledger accounts
- Monitor and maintain the electronic filing system for audit trail purposes
- Void checks, reissue payment, and reverse invoices as necessary
- Generate use tax reports and submit to the Accounts Payable Analyst
- Timely resolve inquiries/discrepancies from clients and multiple entities, including correspondence via email and phone
Qualifications
- A high school diploma and two years of related experience, or
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, public administration or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Customer service experience is highly preferred
- Accounts payable experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong technical computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and comfort learning software systems
- Proper and effective use of English grammar and communication skills (oral and written)
