PENN is dedicated to becoming the undisputed leader in guest service by offering a Red Carpet experience for each and every guest.

Your daily responsibilities include:
Must enforce the West Virginia Racing Commission Rules of Racing while on the racetrack, writing reports of all violations that take place while on duty.
Ensures starting car vehicle is in proper working order prior to each race. Car and mechanical gate systems must have regular proper servicing and maintenance.
Once on racetrack with horses ensures proper parading of horses leading up to start of race.
Ensures all horses are aligned in the proper starting position leading up to start of race. Must control direction of gate vehicle in order to have a fair and safe start for all participants.
Will assist Starter in reporting any infr! actions occurring during race to judges.
Assists horse amb! ulance workers to remove injured horse from track.
Must be available to work for any training, schooling, racing or qualifying hours.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:

Must be 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be licensed by West Virginia Racing Commission
Must have current and valid driving license
Must be knowledgeable of the Maryland Racing Commission Rules of Racing
Must have a valid driver’s license
Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
Excellent customer service/communication skills
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, s! toop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
