This position is responsible for reviewing closed loan documents, obtaining corrections when necessary and delivery of the file prior to the expiration date. Responsible f! or follow-up for final recorded documents from settlement agents in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One to two years previous experience in Secondary Market mortgage lending preferred.
In-depth understanding of regulatory guidelines and requirements of secondary mortgage market as it pertains to closing documents preferred.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS:
Willingness to provide a level of service which will clearly differentiate us from our competitors.
Ability to answer attorney inquiries concerning procedures and forms.
Individual should be a self-starter and have the ability to communicate and work well with closing attorneys, investors, and co-workers.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.
Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express t! houghts, ideas and concepts to bank employees and bank custome! rs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Ability to perform general clerical duties and operate various departmental equipment.
Ability to accurately follow instructions on a variety of subjects.
Must be willing to work as part of a team.
Individual must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects while meeting established deadlines.
Knowledge and ability to use computer terminal and various software systems including Microsoft Office.
Ability to follow up for documents not returned in a timely manner.
Ability to work with all Portfolio and all Secondary Market Programs.
Knowledge and ability to verify that closed mortgage loans are in compliance with program requirements.
Ability to review all closed residential loans to verify accuracy and that all closing conditions have been met.
Ability to review all closed residential loans for delivery to investor.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:!
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Must be willing and capable to work in an extremely busy, high stressed environment requiring above-average organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be willing and have the ability to adjust work hours and schedule to meet cyclical workload, including mandatory overtime as necessary.
Must be willing and have the ability to travel for training purposes.
