Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating the leadout staff, the parade, and the blanket/muzzle inspection of each Greyhound f! or each official race in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service and Operations Standards.
Essential Functions:
Follow and enforce all greyhound rules of racing and any racing policies that are applicable
Ensure the safe handling of all racing greyhounds when they leave the Paddock area.
Supervise the leadouts while on the racetrack
Observe the running of the race and take necessary actions to prevent a greyhound from running in the opposite direction or to catch a greyhound that has stopped running
Review the daily entry sheet or program to check the distance of each race
Coordinate the greyhounds for parade and blanket / muzzle inspection for each official race
Assist in overseeing the proper and correct loading of each greyhound into the starting box for each official race
Lead all greyhounds and leadouts to the appropriate starting box each race
Maintain list of leadouts that are present each perfor! mance and schedule them each race accordingly
Maintain a c! lean and safe environment for associates and greyhounds
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill
Greet guests appropriately, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner
Complete other duties as assigned
Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
No experience necessary will train
West Virginia Racing Commission License required

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift or carry 50-90 pounds
Ability to push/pull
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Environmental Working Conditions:
May be exposed to high volume noise

May be exposed to extreme heat or cold
May be exposed to moving objects
May be exposed to dogs/dog dander
