Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP is an International Law Firm with a global operations center in Wheeling WV, which is approximately 60 miles SW of downtown Pittsburgh along I-79 / I-70 or approximately 45 minute commute from Robinson Township via Rt 22.
Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer III position in our Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV .
Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer III is an exempt position that with minimal supervision will provide senior level design, implementation and ! support in the areas of IP Telephony, Video and Data Communica! tions, Network Infrastructure, Wide Area, Local Area and Wireless Networks, and Monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from recognized college or university or equivalent work experience along with five plus years related experience and/or training.
- Five plus years experience in the areas of IP Telephony, video and data communications design and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Cisco Video and VoIP technologies.
- Proficiency Cisco devices; VPN concentrators, Cisco PIX/ASA, switches, Layer 3 Catalyst switches, routers and routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
- Knowledge of external and internal DNS implementations using Linux and Microsoft.
- Knowledge of wireless network technologies; proficiency with Aruba technologies preferred.
- Knowledge of MPLS-based network design, operation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of WAN optimization technologies such as Riverbed.
- Knowledge of DMZ access lists and configurations.
- Knowledge of content and Proxy devices including Microsoft ISA, and Bluecoat.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as sniffers, cable analyzers and SNMP based management tools. Proficiency with SolarWinds monitoring tools preferred.
- Proficiency with firewalls, intrusion detection and other security measures.
- Experience in the use of desktop and/or server hardware and Microsoft operating systems is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange.
- General Proficiency with Windows server operating systems and utilities is required.
- General proficiency with Windows 7 desktop and MS Office suite of products is required.
