Martin & Seibert, L.C., a civil litigation defense firm with an emphasis on insurance and class action defense is seeking an associate attorney for its Charleston office. The Firm h! as offices in West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland, and serves as state, regional and national counsel for several of its clients.
As a defense litigation firm, Martin & Seibert is looking for individuals who will thrive in the litigation environment. Martin & Seibert’s roster of attorneys boasts a number of this nation’s leading defense litigators. Our firm's open door management style and the assignment of attorneys to one of our Practice Groups enable new associates to work closely with and learn from these experienced trial attorneys. The Director of Litigation is looking for an associate to personally mentor in the area of complex insurance “bad faith†litigation.
The successful candidate for the position must be licensed in West Virginia and possess strong verbal communication, research and writing skills. The position will have a strong emphasis on brief and motion practice as well as large discovery productions. Three to five years experience is requ! ired. Prior experience in legal or non-legal positions where p! ublic speaking and client/customer presentations were emphasized is a plus. The position will involve participation in a litigation team setting. Applicants should have prior writing samples and letters of recommendation or references available.
