Martin & Seibert, L.C., a civil litigation defense firm with an emphasis on insurance and class action defense is seeking an associate attorney for its Martinsburg office. The Firm has offices in We! st Virginia, Virginia and Maryland, and serves as state, regional and national counsel for several of its clients.
As a defense litigation firm, Martin & Seibert is looking for individuals who will thrive in the litigation environment. Martin & Seibert’s roster of attorneys boasts a number of this nation’s leading defense litigators. Our firm's open door management style and the assignment of attorneys to one of our Practice Groups enable new associates to work closely with and learn from these experienced trial attorneys.
The successful candidate for the position must be licensed in West Virginia and possess strong verbal communication, research and writing skills. The position will have a strong emphasis on brief and motion practice as well as large discovery productions. Three to five years experience is required. Prior experience in legal or non-legal positions where public speaking and client/customer presentations were emphasized is a plus. The position wi! ll involve participation in litigation team settings and will ! provide hands-on litigation experience from a mentoring shareholder. Applicants should have prior writing samples and letters of recommendation or references available.
