Primary Role: Represent the operating companies in formal customer proceedings before
the Sta! te Public Utility Commissions.
Key Accountabilities:
Assist in the preparation of documents relating to rate case filings,
including responses to date requests and testimony. (10%)
Draft and review Contracts and other Agreements. (10%)
Draft documents relating to the transfer of property including Deeds,
Rights of Way, easements and leases. (10%)
Evaluated State Legislative actions to identify legislation which could
affect operations. (10%)
Draft formal comments to the State Public Utility Commission in response
to proposed rulemaking. (10%)
Assist in the preparation of documents relating to the issuance and
transfer of securities by the Operating Companies. (10%)
Assist in conducting due diligence and preparing documents relating to
acquisitions.
Provide legal advice on State regulatory and Legislative issues.
Provide general le! gal services to the Company.
Provide legal representa! tion to the Company before governmental
agencies. (40%)
Education: Juris Doctorate or equivalent law school and license to practice in State of Operation.
Licensed Attorney in State where operations are conducted.
Broad knowledge of Public Utility and general corporate laws and regulations.
Experience: Five (5) years experience in related work area.
