Robert Half has teamed up with a $5 billion alternative investment firm to assist in the recruitment of multiple hedge fund reporting searches. This position will have excellent exposure to Wall Street brokers / banks and will get a basic understanding of the hedge fund industry. Pay range is 75-90K on the base with all benefits paid by the company. The investment firm is open to candidates who have a degree in Accounting (CPA or parts passed required) from a top school.

The firm has immediate openings for 2 highly qualified and motivated individuals to join the team as a Hedge Fund Accountant for a limited investment partnership. The position reports to the Fund Controller Team and will interact with attorneys, investment bankers, accounting department, senior investment professionals and all internal operations. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute directly in the growth of a complex and fast moving company as it prepares for its initial public offering.
Responsibilities
Daily cash reconciliation for investment activity
Preparation and consolidation of investment and financial reporting
Interaction with portfolio managers to process information
Accounting for investment entities using hedge fund reporting GAAP
Interaction with Wall Street banks/brokers to obtain and decipher information
Review bank loan agreements, trade documentation and bond settlement agreement! s
General ledger maintenance for Fund Accounting
Qualifications
5+ years experience in the public accounting field
BBA/PPA/MPA in Accounting from a top tier, nationally ranked business school
CPA required or certification pending
Working knowledge of general Finance and Accounting functions
Advanced MS Office skills
Detail and task-oriented with a strong work ethic
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience in Financial Analysis and Project Management
Oracle general ledger system experience is a plus
Ability to work 45-50 hours per week
