Description: West Virginia is in need of Insurance Assistant 1 - Kanawha Co. right now, this position will be placed in West Virginia. Further informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. This is important customer service and public contact work in the Public Employees Insurance Agency. You will assists health insurance program members, providers and others via ! telephone, walk-in or correspondence concerning health benefits and insurance claims. Inquiries may relate to the Public Employees Insurance Agency Benefits Program and/or the WV Children Health Insurance Program. Performs a variety of basic customer service work by answering questions, resolving complaints and explaining benefits, rules, regulations and agency policies. Employees are expected to have basic keyboard and computer skills and ability to learn eligibility rules and program procedures. Duties also may include: deals with health service providers, attorneys, Third Party Administrators, state and local government agencies, and others to explaining rules, regulations and agency policies. Resolves claim problems. Researches computerized claim records. Composes and types correspondence. Documents telephone calls. Enters data into computer system.

Selected person is expected to have excellent telephone skills, speaking skills, listening skills, good English u! sage, patience, confidence, problem-solving attitude, and be a! ble to explain eligibility standards with accuracy and understanding. Work experience involving eligibility determination, customer service, call center, public information, or other related public contact work is very desirable. Work involving frequent, problem-solving contacts with clients or customers, or directing, interviewing, training, or assigning work is also desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training! :
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.

Experience:
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a clerical capacity.

Experience in which the main focus of the job involved providing customer service, eligibility determination, explaining rules and procedures, frequent interactions on sensitive issues, related computer entry/retrieval, or other work related to the duties described above may be preferred. You application must clearly describe your related work history.
